The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the most iconic fighter planes from WWII till this day. Used by the RAF and other Allied forces from 1938 to the mid-1950's, and with over 20,000 built, this powerful beauty of a plane served to be very successful during the Second World War. Speed, firepower and the element of surprise made the Spitfire able to intercept their enemies quick and easily, whether it be protecting and escorting friendly bombers, or skirmishing in the front line. There were many variants of the Spitfire, but the one I have focused on and built is the Mk XIV.
Maximum Speed: 448mph/717km/h
Armament: 20mm Hispano Cannons x2, 7.7 Browning Machine Guns x4
Engine: Rolls Royce Griffon 65 - V12 Supercharged
Rate of Climb: 18.5m/s
