Hi every one !
Here is my third map: Surtsey - a legacy of Njörd.
It's an island inspired by the iceland landscape. Its name means "the island of Surt" who is the giant with the flaming sword in the nordic mythology. I'm not sure that this island was created by Surt but it's sure was created by volcanoes, wind and the frozen sea, the three elements of the god Njörd.
anyway, enough mythology for today :p
you will find eroded mountains and volcanoes, some ice on their side and some stunted and scrubby trees growing on a floor of elder ashes.
no need to carry your swimsuit, the water is 5 degrees :D
this map is not populate with ores and caves and is around 2.5k by 2.5k
All the relief was shape by hand. no custom brush here. it took me 8 hours to shape.
