The farms of Tamyrlin have been churning out rye, wheat, pumpkins, and gourds for so long as anyone can remember. It's hard work, but it's honest work. Traders pass through with exotic goods, hedge knights stay the night along the questing trail, the occasional raiding party from down in the swamplands causes trouble, but the grain always regrows and the vines hold onto their deep roots. At the end of the long day a fine old farmer still enjoys his pipe of tabac under the eaves of a comforting farmhouse. Within is a table set with fresh produce and bread baked with care. The farmer's latest brandy waits in a keg to warm guests near so much as the healthily sized hearth fire. A goodly few old tomes await in the quarters above, with each page known well to the house's inhabitants. An inordinately large iron bathtub soaks away the sores of manual labor.


The Kingdom of Tamyrlin may not always be at peace, but each man can find a place to call his own and work to make his elders proud. This is one such example of the fruits of labor, and a life well lived.
