"There is no law, no restraint in this seething cauldron of vice and depravity.”
Laws? Not down in Tantucker. They say the only thing to survive down there is the creek, untouched for so many years, with only gunshots grazing its sandstone peaks. It's a dry place, the storms carry dust and havoc instead of water and life, and the long summer has only made it dryer, yet still the trees remain. Ancient, sturdy trees line Tantucker, riddled with bullets and branches full of rope, and the occasional corpse below in the shade. The only law of Tantucker; kill or be killed.
Tantucker is a map set in the hot west, where outlaws run free and wild - much like the old wild west. You may have noticed several unusual features of it, but the main thing is the trees in the sand. Traditionally these trees might have been used on a snowy mountainous or northern map, but to see them in a hotter map is an unusual thing. I really enjoy the feel and aesthetic they bring to the map, it's one of my experiments gone very well - they fit in perfectly. I also decided to do a ground render this time and it turned out nicely and gives a great insight as to how the map feels; you really do find yourself looking around for outlaws or creatures to hunt constantly. I always love creating a unique a fresh atmosphere, and Tantucker is a map that certainly has that.
