Taranox - The Predator King Minecraft Map

This unique mythological creature, I created on the Pixelbiester.de Server, unites the body parts of three feared predators. Not much is known about him but there exists an ancient legend which is told for centuries.

"The flow of time already brought forth many creatures.

Some were large and powerful while others were small and fragile.
But all had to bow to the one law of equilibrium.

This law, as old as time itself, has an executor with just the one purpose to maintain balance.

There are told many rumors about him and he is known as the almighty Predator King Paranox.
Reborn many times he unites the body parts of the most fearsome predators of each habitat.

The imperturbability of the Great White Shark, the strength of the Polar Bear and
the dominance of the Andean Condor make him the ultimate predator.

However, it is told that there was a legendary King who ruled the world a long time ago.
This King managed to capture Taranox and put him into chains.

This legend is doubted by many, as there is no evidence that this great kingdom
ever existed and Taranox was never spottet.

Yet some tell of an occasional mysterious rattle in the cloudy sky
though most likely these are only sailor fantasies."

Building Progress

After I had an approximate concept of my creature in mind i did a rough, ugly sketch in school lessons.

At home I directly started brushing a shape that i had in mind and tried to find a good pose for my creature. For this I basically used the brush tools
of voxelsniper and world edit.

After changing the pose a little bit I finished the tail and went on smoothing towards the top. I also deformed the size to make it a bit bigger.

When I began building the wings it was particularly important for me to get a realistic result. So i started with the basic bones and added the feathers afterwards.

Next i went on to details and finnished the head and the limbs.

Before I started colouring I replaced the different parts to separate them.

Then I coloured it with the goBrush tool.

I did the same with the other body parts.

Finally I fixed all the details and pasted it above the diorit circle with some clouds I build.
Everything was build over a period of three days and took about 8 hours.

Please keep in mind that I will rework the post eventually before the contest is over.
Also please forgive some grammatical mistakes :)
