"I look down...
I gaze deeply into the pool of blood.

The parts of me that can still think...
they think about how this happened.

I see myself as a kid in the reflection.
I look away, but my reflection stares at me.
It wants me to come inside.
It begs me to come inside."

TECH_DEMO is a short experience featuring a custom soundtrack, a chilling atmosphere, and an elevated level of visual detail.
You enter an abandoned building, only to find a world specifically designed for you. There's nothing in it but a series of hallways and rooms... as well as a memory. A horrifying memory, corrupted to the point where it isn't even remotely human.

Ooohh a pretty cool little thing! If you want a full critique, then read onwards:

All in all a pretty cool, small, walk simulator experience. There wasn't really any direction, or any story explained whatsoever, it was just a smooth walk through some very amazingly scripted events and some really cool tricks (liked the "seemingly impossible" hallways for example).

I have to say tho, the part where you mention "an unprecedented level of visual detail" is debatable. Yes, it looks stunning by itself, the resource pack is absolutely breathtaking, if you created it yourself then hats off to you (which I assume you did, but if not, what's the name of the pack, is it available somewhere?), also I played with the shaders so that helped greatly, BUT, there's a big but...

Even though the resource pack is amazingly realistic, the architecture itself just...sucks. There should have been done much more with the actual buildings, you could utilize your resource pack power to much more detail, the place where you spawn, is good looking until you look to the background stuff. You just surrounded me in plain textures basicly, it's not a believable city or whatever place am I supposed to be in. The hallways itself are also completely empty (even though I assume that's intentional as you probably got inspired by the creepypasta The Backrooms). But even the last outdoor area is very plain looking. This map's visuals got really carried by the resource pack's textures/models and not the architecture or level design itself.

There's also the audio part, and there's not much to complain about, solid job on there, scares were some subtle, some aggressive and overall pretty cool and didn't feel cheap (the stairs scare was pretty unexpected), and music also subtle and creepy.

Gameplay itself was pretty much non-existent, as I said, it's a walk sim and it was intended as one, so I guess that's fine, however it would be nice to get atleast some puzzle, key hunt or a lore text explaining something or giving further meaning to the project.

In a nutshell, cool little experience. Great looking and sounding, poor architecture, but entertaining short walk simulator! Enjoyed it.

Thanks for the feedback! =)
I'll definitely try and focus more on architecture next time.
