Templo y Convento de Nuestra Señora de Balvanera was a Convent and Church in Mexico City, Mexico
The Church itself still exists and has been massively renovated in neoclassical style in the 19th century, from which also the two prominent portals on its southern side come from. Today the church is known as the Maronite Cathedral of Mexico City.
In the 17th century the church still had a convent around it, which is demolished and nowadays replaced with modern buildings. The Bell tower covered in Puebla tiles used to have a taller spire as can be seen on the folding screen plan of Mexico City.
The church itself consists of one long body which has 4 very flat domes on its roof.
Height: 41m
