The Anderson Mansion
Anderson History
George Anderson was born in 1872 in a rural Texas farm town. His parents, James Anderson and Edna Anderson, and his one sibling, Mary Anderson. He was born into a farming family, but that was a short lived experience. When George was five his family decided to move to New York City for work due to increasing drought conditions causing a major financial loss in the family.
Upon moving to New York, his father soon got involved in the steel business and became one of the high ups at Carnegie Steel Company in the early 1880's. The family quickly became wealthy again and was able to give George and Mary a high education at one of the finest Universities in the nation at the time. George went on to study mechanics and graduated at the top of his class.
After completing his education George had bigger ambitions. He left New York in 1896 to go back to his birthplace. Anderson had soon found the Oil Industry to be a great source of income, and by 1898 he had made his first million. For Anderson, this wasn't enough. He soon bought out several other, smaller, oil companies in the area. Anderson Oil was starting to come up with the big dog, the Standard Oil Company. By 1905 Anderson was earning an estimated 3 million a year. This was a number the Standard Oil Company didn't want to see. In 1906, the Standard Oil Company laid a deal down which would hand over Anderson Oil to Standard Oil for a price tag of 100 million.
Following this deal, Anderson moved back to New York and settled there the rest of his life. He bought a small apartment in New York which is where he met his wife Anna Walsh. Eight months after they met they got married and built a new home outside of the city. By 1911 the home was finished and they moved in.
The following years, George and Anna had three children. In 1920 one child, age three, died due to pneumonia. After this sudden death, they had another child. By 1928 George was getting into stocks and soon began earning thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, the riches were short lived with the stock market crash of 1929. George lost an estimated 3 million from the crash. In the early 30's his parents died in a house fire at their home. George was hit hard by this, as anyone would, and started to fall apart. By the mid 30's George became very ill and depressed. This combination eventually led to his death in 1936 due to a stroke. Anna and the children finished living their lives with the fortunes still left from George.

The house construction began in 1908 and took 3 years to finish due to large setbacks in the construction company and the harsh winters of those years.

When I was building this house I had inspiration from the Carson Mansion. The main inspiration I got from it was the front facade. The rest of the build I had made to fit the plot with enough room left over to make the build seem like it owned some land. I felt if I were to fill the entire plot with that build I would actually be ruining the quality of the entire project. Which is not what I want to do.
The greenery surrounding the entire build was all custom made by me. It took me several hours to finally make a tree that I liked and deemed fit to be included with this build. The shrubbery around the build itself was done with a WorldEdit Brush for randomness in the block selection that I couldn't have done myself.
Every block in this build was carefully thought out and chosen in order to have the absolute best outcome I could possibly produce. From the greenery used, the interior details, and the renders; I know I was able to accomplish my goal of having the best outcome I could possibly produce. My next goal was to make you think the same way. (Which I hope I did)
The history and general info. sections in this description took me a good three hours to write due to me trying to perfectly time everything that happened in Georges life. Everything down to the names of the characters were carefully thought out to match the time period. Even the structure of the history itself was thought out to match a real history section of any article online. I wanted to make the history section seem as viable as possible and have the reader immersed in the reading in order to make this build even better than it already is.

It would be cool to see the Anderson Mansion in Greenfield, but since your story for the house has it outside New York it wouldn't fit.
