TheBhinéka Islands are a mysterious group of islands discovered recently by the ship "Gloria." Incredibly the islands are split up into very diverse, climate zones, consisting of multiple biomes scattered around the area. The mystery of this occurrence is yet to be solved, however continued exploration of the islands may reveal their secrets.

I created these islands using VoxelSniper. Within them are four major biomes, including a desert, a very dense, dark forest, high mountains, and highlands. The highlands have multiple fjords cut out from them. There is also a very large tree located within the forest biome. This took a really long time, for this map turned out to be absolutely massive. Enjoy the pictures (rendered using Chunky) and feel free to download this map if you want to see it first hand.I plan to add towns and villages, so this may be updated containing those in the future. I also am considering making an adventure map based on the islands, so hopefully that will also come sooner than later. My friend wrote me a storyline so now it just needs to be implemented.

Feel free to showcase this map, play with it, etc. however please do not release a different version of it without letting me know. If you are making videos using this map please also tell me, but only because I would like to see them :) Thanks a bunch!

I have used WorldPainter. It would have been very helpful for this project, at least just with getting a general terrain shape, but alas, this was purely VoxelSniper.

Yes, Worldpainter is very helpful, except for making cliffs.

A good workflow for custom terrain is to use worldpainter to set up the shape of the terrain, and then rough it up and add detail with VoxelSniper.

Yeah, I've heard that, but I've also heard that voxelsniper is only for servers.
