The Dark Tower
The Dark Tower is my version of Orthanc, the tower of Isengard. It's an older building of me but I love it. :-)
It was the first really big building I built and the reason why I stopped playing in survival with fly mod and went over to creative mode.
I looked at some pics I found from the Orthanc and then started to build, I never wanted to copy the original tower, I couldn't if I would, I built my own version of it.
The Dark Tower is in the middle of a dark, dense forest. Only one way leads to the base of the tower.
The area of the tower and the forest around it is covered with a thick cloud, so that no light gets through.
The interior isn't finished and there's still some decoration in the forest that needs to be done.
I'm using a custom texture pack and I changed some textures to have more decoration options.
So please note this when you download my creations and don't wonder if there is a rail in the kitchen. :-)
I didn't make all of the textures by myself that's why I'm not allowed to upload them.
But here's a list of what I've changed and what it looks like for me :-)
emerald block - wine rack
rail_activator - weapons or tools
rail_detector - map, placemats, envelope
noteblock - cabinet with drawers
redstone_torch - candle
daylight_detector - small side table with a doily
sponge - wodden box
wool_colored_purple - wodden box filled with food like apples, pears, potatoes, onions
wool_colored_pink - another wodden box
wool_colored_magenta - and another wodden box
wool_colored_lime - hay bales
steve's head - small box
creeper's head - another small box
skeleton's head - small melon
zombie's head - small pumpkin
I can't upload this texture pack, so that you'd have all of my changes, so I decided to make another one with the look of the default tp and only add the changes that may look strange without using it.
Here are two pictures that compare the default look with the Mine Maus More Deco Default look and a LINK for the download of the small texture pack.

I started to work on the interior of this tower. I haven't done this because I'm missing some ideas, but they'll come to me when I work on it, I hope so^^
I have added the different floors, atm there are 9 but there are more to come under the tower as a kind of dungeon.
I have to say that I build what Sonofdad123 proposed to me^^
-enchanting room
-altar
-storage rooms (for food/water/wine, and also for raw ingredients)
-dungeon of some sort
-library
-living quarters for each of the mages
-secret chamber leading to an escape tunnel
So I'm very happy that I started this work because I really love my dark tower :-)
And btw any suggestions how many mages could live in here?^^
