This is my reconstruction of the forum of Nerva, also known as the forum Transitorium.
The forum was started by the emperor Domitian somewhere around 85 AD, however Domitian didn't live to see his forum finished as it was completed and officially opened by his successor Nerva in 97 AD.
The forum is the fourth and smallest of the imperial fora and served as both a thoroughfare and as a monumental entrance to the larger Roman Fora.
The plan of the Forum of Nerva is long and narrow, with protruding columns decorating the walls instead of arcades. A Temple dedicated to Minerva dominated the western end, behind which was a monumental entrance which was called Porticus Absidata
The project is entirely based on archeological evidence.
