Ashgate castle was born from the hubris of a rich king who died poor. He demanded a palace that appeared to hold the sky aloof and would make the birds envious of it's height. The king invested much of his wealth into his project, starting wars with his neighbors to gain access to their quarries, but died before the last of the towers could be complete.
Years passed and the palace become a fortress with growing walls and defenses. In time, steam power came to Ashgate and with it industrialization. Only the great towers remain of the king's dream, looming over the kingdom.













Ashgate is a spawn creation project for our server Halcyon Realm

Love your build! Just saw it for the first time... It has so much character. I love when a builder can create an excellent project with just a texture pack and show screenshots that turn out like that! Great work. You are never going to believe this: that image you have for your inspiration..... no joke, I've had that as my PC desktop background for so so long. Can't wait to see more! (maybe we could work on something together?)

Eventually we wish to turn the world into an adventure map. We are still building the towns and landscape around it. But one day we hope to finish.
