aare you sure the middle earth map shows it like that

and you just so happen to know everything about middle-earth do ya? who says it wasn't like that? you think just because your doing the valar project you instantly know everything? because actually if you look at Thror's Map, it does kinda look like that, maybe not as sharp peeked, but it does look alot like. however, in the animated version of The Hobbit from years ago, it does have a very tall sharp peek.
