Welcome! This is my contest entry for https://www.planetminecraft.com/contests/nether-minecraft-build-contest/, and I hope it is to your liking. :) If it turns out to be then any diamonds are highly appreciated. ^~^ It was a fun build though so I don't mind either way.
Now, as a head's up, just in case, the location in the Nether can be found at the coordinates X: 318, Y: 156, Z: -338. The overworld portal is at X: 2495, Y: 76, Z: -2715. :) And without further ado, into the world-building...!:
The ever-flaming, ever-burning, hellish wasteland we call the Nether... is perhaps a little less Hellish than it used to be.
Or perhaps not?
Entry into the Nether was once long since forbidden; deemed too dangerous for any to enter and pass through - a threat for any to trespass upon without being laid waste to by the arid and blazing terrain, meltingly endless lava ocean, and evil hordes of piglin and ghasts and else. Even some larger beasts were rumoured to be found within, such as draconic snakes floating about both above and beneath the lava's expanse, and the riches and lifeforms of value in the Nether just weren't work the risk.
Yet even though entry was forbidden, eventually it was entered anyway- Stumbled upon by humans; trampled into by villagers. They carelessly made their way into the realm unafraid of what would lash back at them in return; unwary of the risks posed by such careless deeds, and even tried to form their own homes within. Foolish deeds- Deeds which could only risk their lives and chance their own deaths, to some, and yet, perhaps, not so foolish overall. It isn't as dangerous as the surface for villagers after all. The overworld has more who would do them harm; ending them for good and forever, and far less freedom to build up walls to defend against it. They figured, it seems, that at least in the Nether they are able to hide from their oppression.
So they did.
But it didn't last forever. Eventually masses of ships came along to target them; ships of the undead and the piglins all to raid the village and push their scourge back whence they came; to eliminate their presence in the Nether and reclaim the luminescent glow of the mushrooms and land for themselves once and for all.
Who would win in this scuffle is beyond our knowledge, but what is clear and certain is that the victor will remain here triumphant, and the loser will sleep in the warm hard ground of the fleshy realm they fight within.
Both the Piglins and the Villagers have homes of their own - their own little villagers and congregations of buildings to live in safely -;
The villagers near the portal:
And the Piglins scattered throughout the world at large:
Throughout the build are a number of monstrous entities and skeletal beings rising far and above a mortal's height; structures mighty and small and mixed within;
Yet the skeletal menaces lay waste to everything they touch:
The ships float across the skies ready to plunder, amassing en large:
And, perhaps, lurks a giant massive wyrm in the midst of it all:
Now, extra details:
Firstly- Two ships were made by an amazing friend of mine; LesbianPotato, since she was bored and liked the sound of it and chipped in with two ships. :) They're nice ships. ^~^ She also made a lovely glowing curly flower! And other than that the entire build's fully mine and will only be mine. :)
And the vast majority - the absolute rest of it, as said - by me, Uknownymous. :) Nice to meet you if we haven't met yet, and thank you for reading to this point regardless! I appreciate it:
And also... I highly don't recommend this in survival. At all. ;D Unless you want to enter the Nether with complete confusion.

Completely finished the build. :) : by Uknownymous 07/22/2020 4:35:30 amJul 22nd, 2020
The entire build has reached its dastardly flamingly hellish conclusion, with skeletal menaces looming over the hellfires, a village awaiting its calling, homes for Piglins scattered about with castles to house their dastardly lifeforms.
