I've been a big fan of Lunar since it came out when I was 12 years old. The original is to this day one of my favorite games of all time. So when I was trying to come up with a major project for Minecraft, I decided to recreate the floating city of Vane. Vane is home to the Magic Guild, and sits atop a huge floating island that hovers over the land. The first time you go to Vane, it is only accessible by a teleportation sigil, which can be found at the end of the Cave Of Trials. Therefore once I built Vane in the sky, I made it so the only way to get up to it (without building a new climbing structure) was via linked Nether portals. You enter in the basement of my house, walk a short distance in the Nether, and go through another portal that deposits you in Vane.
I'm proud of this because I built and harvested every single thing you see by hand, except for the diamond towers in the back. Other than the towers (which I used an inventory mod for, cause no way I was gonna harvest THAT much diamond), I did not use any editors, any mods, any hacks. I dug for all of the stone, dirt, wood, and sandstone you see. I placed everything manually. This took me about two months building it singlehandedly.
