The Monolith of Tlaloc, Mexico City. It is the largest representation of Tlaloc, the Aztec rain deity and believed to be one of the largest statues in the Americas prior to European arrival. When the statue was excavated in the 18th century and moved Mexico City experienced record levels of rain and flooding for a week.

This reminds me a lot of high school :) I wanted to show Tlaloc as a background for a history presentation but a more colorful one, so I spent the night trying to find a free site which could colorize a 1960's photo, thanks to this map I think I'll try to recreate the statue on my own map, this time it will be colored :) thanks for reminding me of this wonderful work of art from a world lost to time :)
