After hours of work poured into a seemingly hopeless case, one man has finally managed to recreate a fully-functioning TARDIS using mere scraps found in a TARDIS junkyard. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...

Rorny's Accurate, Working 11th Doctor’s TARDIS for 1.14.4+! (Download also includes a purely decorational 9th/10th Doctor's interior)

---

Hello there! It's Rorny, and I have been working on my Minecraft TARDIS for a very long time. Now, I have decided to share it with the Planet Minecraft community for you all to see and use!

The TARDIS is a fictional spaceship and time machine originating from the British TV show Doctor Who. It is disguised as a small, blue police box but is actually bigger on the inside and can travel in time and space. This Minecraft map is an accurate recreation of the 11th Doctor’s second TARDIS and features its main console room (sometimes known as the Toyota or Neon console). On top of that, this TARDIS recreation actually works! It has many features such as coordinate travel and time manipulation!

Features:

- Graphical User Interface

- Immersive pre-flight sequence and randomised in-flight minigame

- Spinning Lights (TARDIS lights will spin during flight!)

- Coordinate Check (Check the coordinates that the TARDIS is currently landed at, as well as the set destination coordinates!)

- Coordinate Travel (Travel anywhere in the world! )

- Intuitive Forceload Chunkloader (Allows you to travel even in unloaded chunks!)

- Interdimensional Travel (Allows you to travel to the Nether and End!)

- Time and Weather Manipulation (Set the time of day or night and change the weather!)

- Artron Energy System (TARDIS uses up energy when flown and must be recharged!)

- Vertical Axis Compensator (Forces the TARDIS to land on the ground, regardless of the set Y coordinate! This feature has been implemented, but cannot as of yet be activated via usage of the TARDIS GUI!)

- Destination Randomizer (Forces the TARDIS to land at a completely random location, regardless of the set X and Z coordinates! This feature has been implemented, but cannot as of yet be activated via usage of the TARDIS GUI!)

- Flight Control (Fly the TARDIS like a drone! This feature only works for opped players, though deopped player support is planned!)

- Structure Locator (Locates structures such as villages, strongholds, woodland mansions, etc... This feature only works for opped players!)

- TARDIS Malfunction (The TARDIS has a 1% chance of malfunctioning during flight. If/when it does, you must venture into the engine room to repair it! This feature is currently broken and has subsequently been disabled. A fix to the issue is planned)

- Custom mobs (Various monsters from Doctor Who will naturally spawn in the world for you to take on! Only the Weeping Angel is currently complete, however! This feature has been disabled due to issues concerning performance. It can be manually re-enabled using the command: /datapack enable "file/doctorwhomobs")

- Sonic Screwdriver (A handy tool that can output redstone signals, scan nearby entities, and more! WARNING: Very experimental and work-in-progress! This feature only works for opped players! This feature has been disabled due to issues concerning performance. It can be manually re-enabled using the command: /datapack enable "file/doctorwhoitems")

Planned Features (To-Do):

- Chameleon Circuit (Allows you to change the exterior of the TARDIS)

- Stattenheim Remote (Allows you to materialise the TARDIS at your current location)

- Stablisers (Allow the user to disable the in-flight minigame)

- Save and Load Locations (Quickly save coordinates so you can come back to them later!)

- Level-Up Mechanism (Level up the TARDIS, as you use it, in order to unlock and upgrade features!)

- Boss Battles (Use the TARDIS in an epic, Doctor-Who-themed boss fight!)

- Custom Advancements

- And much, much more!

"Just one question: do you happen to know how to fly this thing??"
Guide on how to fly the TARDIS is coming, though probably not soon.

Thanks! That means a lot coming from you. It's a shame you saw it prior to the new update coming out; I've been hard at work and have made many additions and changes to the interior recently :/

I'm not sure when the Stattenheim Remote will be implemented. Since the Doctor does not have a Stattenheim remote in the show, it's not high on the priority list. Stabilizers are also probably not coming very soon. Since you have suggested them, however, I will add both to my To-Do list and will attempt to find some time to add them. Thanks for the suggestions, it really means a lot!

I think you made the coral Tardis to small.
In the Toyota Tardis, the pillars are the wrong colour.

Great job, keep on keeping on!

I am aware of both issues. I want to completely rebuild the 10th Doctor's TARDIS, but my computer is broken and I have no way of working on my TARDISes. As for the pillars on the Toyota TARDIS, I have no way of changing the colour without doing one of the following:

1. Making the whole TARDIS bigger, which would likely require a whole rebuild of it.

2. Making the TARDIS look really bad

3. Making a texture pack.

I am reluctant to do either of these things, so the pillars will have to remain as they are. In the show, the pillars look grey anyway (as a result of the dim lighting used), so maybe I wouldn't change the colour of the pillars even if I did have a good way to do so, but I see your point. Also, thanks a ton for the feedback. I really appreciate it!

Hey! Thanks for your feedback.

I didn't say they were the best ones ever. I just said they were the most accurate, although I see your point. I did it partly because, out of all of the TARDISes I've seen, mine is one of the most accurate (in my opinion) and also partly because I am aiming to make my TARDISes the most accurate and, as you said, the best ones ever. If you have any idea on how I could improve them, please do let me know. Again, thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I mean, I guess.
I think there's definitely room for improvement, if I'm being brutal here they're quite far from the most accurate ones made in Minecraft. Not to say that they're bad because you have a good start overall. You'll get better the more you build, I find that rebuilding them every couple months or so is a good way to improve. The scaling is a bit off with both consoles, along with the shape in some areas. Both should be a bit bigger, maybe block choice could improve but that's up to you. I would highly suggest compiling folders of reference per console as you can just refer to that instead of having to navigate the far corners of the net to find a specific image lol. Another good "tip" I guess would to not go around saying they're the most accurate ones, even if it's your opinion. It comes off as snobbish and slightly egotistical, which isn't something you want to be known as, trust me, I've been there.

Hey again! I have a few things to ask and say, so I'll be quite straightforward.

1.Could you send me which ones you call the most accurate? I'd like to see them!

2. Is my 11th doctor's TARDIS too small as well? I mean, my 10th doctor's one is definitely too small, but I thought the size of the 11th one was fine. Should it be taller? Maybe wider?

3. Could you tell me in which areas the shape is off and how I could improve it?

4. I'll probably add a disclaimer at the beginning of the post saing the TARDISes aren't perhaps the most accurate. I would change the name of the post itself, but the URL would stay the same as it is now.

Thanks again for taking the time to give me your feedback. I really, really appreciate it!

1. There's no way to truly make a 100% accurate TARDIS interior. The 11th/12th Doctor's interior would have to be too big to have an accurate amount of sections/pillars, etc. There's no real way to do it besides modelling, my friend Ford (I think he's called Ford on PMC as well) models stuff for his interiors and it looks spectacular.

2. The overall proportions of it are a bit off, the ceiling is too flat, the bottom half of the walls below the balcony should curve inwards to the center of the room gradually. I would try making the top part made of chiseled stone bricks more round and maybe bigger. Perhaps try making the rotor a block taller as well. It should probably be just a bit wider and a bit taller.

3. The shape is a bit weird on the 10th Doctor interior's pillars. It seems like you went for a straighter approach with just the general idea of the pillar in mind rather than the actual design. The pillars are at first a bit complicated to understand but I assure you you can figure it out eventually. Dunno if this counts as shape but you have paintings above the 11th/12th Doctor interior's rotor? Are those meant to be scanners? If so, I'd suggest trying to move that somewhere else. Also on your console units themselves it looks like you put random controls/redstone components on them - which is fine, but I would suggest trying to get them as close as possible to the actual props, it's possible.

4. I would just list them as 10th and 11th Doctor's TARDIS interiors, it's fine that the URL stays the same, I don't think many people will be looking at that anyways.

No problemo, this isn't meant to be insulting in any way btw, just trying to help.

There is no way to make it truly accurate but you can try to make it as accurate as possible. Stuff like size and colour are very possible and it is a shame that size is the thing everyone gets wrong.

Hmm... I'm still not getting what you mean by "the overall proportions" although that's probably just me being daft. Making the ceiling less flat might be difficult but I'll try. The reason why I made the rotor three blocks high is because the actual rotor only has three layers, so I'm probably not gonna change that. As for the paintings, they are indeed scanners, and I've been trying my hardest to move them to a more appropriate place ever since I added them to the build. Either way, I'll change the TARDIS a bit and upload the updated screenshots on the post (they'll be a pain to re-take!).

P.S: This is what I'm using in place of a folder of reference. It's awesome, to say the least. Check it out: https://www.google.com/maps/@51.4921474,-0.1929805,2a,75y,251.82h,67.62t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s3y9nFQ5tdEYAAAQIt-ILlg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
