The Siege of Tirith, an epic space battle map specially made for the PMC Contest: Nether Empire brought to you by Dusty0245 and the Vindicta Team. I highly recommend watching the cinematic and/or downloading the map for an overall better view! Screenshots are way too small..
We don't have super renders. We don't have super high quality cinematic.. We don't have fancy text. But we have a great map, with detail, huge ships, battles, and something very unique and never seen before.And we do have a lore, and most of all, we do have worked very hard, to hopefully get far in this contest!

A Brief History,
The Tiritians were a noble race of scholars and scientists, preferring to explore and advance their understanding of the universe through peaceful means. For many centuries the Tiritians believed themselves the most advanced civilisation of all the nine races, having long forgone their primitive tribal roots of conquest and destruction in favour of coexistence with the cosmos and its inhabitants. All of this changed when the fire nation attacked. lol jk, but you get the idea: the Agateans, considered one of the more brutish species encountered by the Tiritians finally grasped warp coil technology-no longer were they confined to their solar systems pitiful single sun, no longer chained to the planet they dotingly called 'dirt'o�¦.no longer content to stay well enough alone.
Shortly after their discovery of warp technology, the Agateans began a terrible conquest of planets in their home galaxy, forging a vice-like hold over the ill-prepared pacifists of the nine races through war and destruction. Those that possesed adequate technology to assist in the devastation were swiftly brought low under the rapidly expanding Agatean Empire, forming a subservient caste of 'Citizens of the Empire'. Those with nothing but resources to contribute were enslaved or eradicated.
It was shortly before the fall of Midlothian that Tirithan Government finally broke their self imposed pacifism and curbed the Tiritians advances towards military prowess. In the 47 cycles that followed, the known universe was plunged into all out war. Despite being more advanced in both ship and weapon design, the Tiritians were almost powerless to stop the advance of the vast armadas of the Agatean Navy, sheer size and numbers crushing their attempts to resolve the conflict, until nothing of the outer colonies remained. only their home planet, a world dominated by vast oceans and sprawling forests, stood against the Agateans and their quest for domination.
Arsenal of Agatean machines of war:
The Agatean Empires main Offensive Dreadnought Class Warship, Darkstar serves as primary weapons platform for the O series. Sporting 2 hangars and 4 refit bays, 6 crew decks, 18 torpedo magazines and two of o��ultrao�� weapons, the ship is a fearsome combatant in any campaign be it in atmosphere or in the black. For the assault of this last Bastion, the two Dreadnoughts deployed were outfitted with the following armament:Primary Gun Array: A photon torpedo cannon (sue me :P ), utilising longbow technology to accelerate large warheads at incredible speeds.An o��ultrao�� class ion cannon, two heavy ion cannons and 2 plasma cannons.Additional Arms:The hull is also armed with a heavy plasma mortar, 10 laser batteries, 8 missile pods and 6 laser cannons.
This carrier/dreadnought is a space-faring fortress of incredible destructive power and versatility supporting no less than 4 hangars (2 of which have some very advanced repair bays built in) , 3 engine bays and 2 engineering decks, as well as 1 command bridge, 2 tactical bridges and 4 crew decks.Armament: 1 heavy ion cannon, 4 mark4 heavy plasma mortars, 3 longbow cannons and a plethora of anti-everything laser and plasma based cannons, batteries and mortars. Theres even the odd missile pod.This behemoth also supports the usual warp drive associated with the D series along with a (possibly) over the top level of sublight engines, borrowing much of its propulsion infrastructure from the AF-D MANTA Heavy Carrier.Compliment:32 AF-D Ballista MRFs
One of the most frequently deployed Agatean fighters teh Ballista is characterised by its distinctive arrow-head like hull curvature and incredible manuverability, far outpacing any other fighter in the field. Armament: Dual Laser Cannon.Compliment: N/A
Arsenal of Tiritian machines of war:
The Tiritian Equivalent of the AF-O Darkstar, this vessel operates on the maxim of destructive power above all else.Featuring an extremely unstable o��super weapono�� level laser at the front, plus a dual railgun turret atop the main habitation decks, this ship is certainly one of the weirder snowflakes of death to come out of Tiritian Engineering.The BattleCruiser has a total of 9 rooms spread across 2 decks, with a drone hangar surrounding the inner docking ring.Agatean Scientists still have no idea why the Tiritians chose to plate their ship with crystalline rocket fuel, but hey it makes the thing look pretty.Armament: 1 Mining Grade Laser, Dual Railgun.Compliment: 48 Mrk5 Drones
This fearsome looking fighter is one of the more common Tiritian SSTO fighters, performing well in atmosphere and in space. the meagre armament of one laser cannon is compensated for by the distinctive blades attached at o��strategico�� points on the hull. These blades make the ship fantastically versatile in dogfights and exceptionally fearsome foes indeed.Armament: 1 Standard Laser.Compliment: N/A
The largest of the small scale ships, the gunship is a formidable craft in its own right. The distinctive dual railgun arrangment on the wings makes this ships superb for long range combat, preferring to deploy drones from the aft hangar when in close quarters dogfights.Armament: 2 Railguns, 4 Lasers.Compliment 12 Mrk2 Drones
This quadropedal tank demonstrates the Tiritian mantra of o��if it worked, make it more complicated and try againo��, that is, it is needlessly over engineered for the sake of sheer o��hey that looks coolo�� factor. Also because i was told to make a tank on legso�¦Sporting dual railguns and a underslung heavy ion cannon this tank stands as one of the larges military assets deployed in the Siege of Tirith.Armament: Dual Railgun, Heavy Ion Cannon, Rear Mounted Laser.Compliment: N/A

Tiritian Drone
A Masterstroke of Tiritan design, featuring a forward mounted laser and not much else, this minute unmanned ship fights in packs to combat its shortcomings in defensive capabilities.Armament: 1 Standard Laser.Compliment: your kidding right

The first day I spent in a skype chat, discussing what we would build. We wanted to do something different, something unique, something we did not build before, nor seen before. And this idea came out: The Siege of Tirith. Everyone was new to the nether style, and that was why we decided to do two factions, because Infinite_Enigma had experience with ships in different style (Agatean). The map proceeded and we first focussed on the air before starting the grounds. I personally regret focussing so much on the air, as I think the grounds are quite empty. But, however, the space battle worked out very good and i'm proud of how the map is in the current stage.

You have a very good point there: For your information, The Champion of Darkstar is the middle ship, the one with the commander room.
The other two are two versions of the Darkstar, and the others are fighters.
I can't update in the contest but I will do shortly ;-)
He is the inventor of most of the ships and he'll upload some gigantic spaceships very soon :)
