My first contest entry, woo! I decided to go with a temple that looks a little less traditional. I hope you enjoy it!

This temple was created by a fairly advanced civilization in a nice, flat area where there was nothing to obstruct the view of the sky. The spiral staircase represents swirling wind currents, as well as towering storm clouds. The water around the center of the temple represents the torrential rains that can fall from the sky, as well as life-giving gentle showers. Finally, the gold point on top is the focal point of the temple, and it represents the sun. It also acts as a lightning rod.

At the very top of the spiral staircase is a mysterious book. Supposedly, this book allows one to control the weather, but few remain who know how to use it...

It would be cool if the centre shrine still works like a considerably upgraded enchanting table. Maybe make the shrine larger and have bookshelves hidden in the shrine.
I would also suggest round floating platforms within the temple to fill up the space, with suspended slabs for stairs.
Still, it is a very good build, especially as a debut. Well done!

The backstory made it a lot better, probably wouldn't have diamonded if I didn't know what the water was for.
The things on the bridge thingy look a little weird, is there any other way to make it not look like a wedding cake? Maybe some towers spaced throughout?

Yeah, originally when I added the fancy lights, they were a little taller and they had points at the top. Unfortunately it started looking pretty crowded, so I decided to take them off. I also tried only putting the tops on every few lights, but that looked odd too. I'm still not super happy with how this came out, but I'm not quite sure what would make it look any better. :(

Reminds me of the Tower of Babylon. In a way a nice design. But personally I hoped for more details & some more interior than only the 'mysterious book'. Nice to add some lore though.

Thank you for the feedback! I was actually already planning to add some more details inside, because I do have a huge empty space in the center that's just begging to be used.
