Hello everyone, hope you all have been doing Great!

I’m very frilled to show you my first ever airplane, it was really fun to make, expect you find as interesting!

This is also my entry for the aircraft contest so please, if you do enjoy it, leave a diamond as it would be very appreciated. Feedback is always welcome too. The last screenshots show the up close details.

The project features a fictional experimental steam powered biplane in 3:1 scale.
Version 1.12.2 and render distance higher than 40 is not recomended.

Design Process

As of mine fictional builds, I always try to make them look plausible on the functional side. In this case the major mass, the boiler, is right on the wings, being well supported and centered with the point the lift. To balance the front steam turbine, the water tanks lay slightly back from the wings and boiler. Finally, four big wings should provide the necessary lift to put it in the air. Let’s just hope you don’t run out of water before you run out of fuel…

Apart from that it has all standard aviation components, like the airfoils, control surfaces, wheels and control cables and quite the unusual cockpit.

For the color scheme I decided to go for my favorite, a industrial, early XX century look.
