22nd place in the Sky Limit Contest!!!
That may not seem very high but for my first contest I think thats pretty damn good :P
The Stilted City of Skyreach was built thousands of years ago, during the 'Race to the Sky'. When all the nations of the world were clambering for the sky only one nation prevailed. The forest nation, as they were known, were seen as primitive to the other nations of the world due to there building style. They didn't build for style, they built structures to last throughout the ages. When all the other nations failed to get there structures off the ground, the forest nation towered high into the sky, awing everyone who saw it. As age took its toll the structure started to deteriorate, and was reduced to nothing but rickety walkways and old buildings. The city was preserved extremely well for its age though, and is still safe to walk on to this day.
This built took about 15 hours or so. I'm happy with how it turned out but I am always looking for any ways that I could change it for the better, so please leave comments below if you have any suggestions. Also, leave a diamond if you feel that the city deserves it and subscribe to be the first to learn about future builds by me!
