While I work on my rural train station project I leave you with this small engine, hope you like it.
About the loco:
She is a single man operated narrow gauge shunting engine. Vulgarly called 'Micas' she used to switch the narrow gauge rollstock at Régua, where she now rests parked at the station garden.
Some stats:
Series: C.P. E1 (the prefix 'E' comes from 'estreita' wich means narrow and is used on all narrow gauge engines)
Engines built: 1, by Henschell & Sohn
Year: 1922
Gauge: meter gauge 1000mm (originally 900mm)
Top speed: 30km/h
Power: 430Cv
Wheel diameter: 810mm
Weight: 19T, +0,80T of coal and 1.900L of water
Piston movement: 430mm
Heating area: 36,60 m^2
Working pressure: 12kg/cm^2
No speedometer
Note: I don't take any credit for the real life photos of the engines shown, they are only used for the sole purpose of providing people with a mean of comparison between my work and the real thing.
