Tower of Babel
Note: I did not make this map to start a religious uproar. It was simply created because I wanted my project to stand out and have a neat story behind my build. This project neither condemns nor supports the Bible, it is simply a project to be admired for what it is - a Minecraft build. Please also note that any comments aimed at starting an argument will be removed. Thanks.
Man dreamt of building higher. He sought more than the simple fields and livestock that surrounded him on the surface of the earth. He knew there was more up there, in the sky, above the clouds. Man dreamt of building to the gods themselves.
Workers were assembled and the progress of the world's tallest tower began. No resource was spared - they wished to impress the gods.
Hours, days, weeks, months, and even years rolled by as the mighty tower rose ever higher into the sunset. The workers never ceased. Ever inch of the tower was decorated in elaborate detail. As their monument to themselves grew, so did their egos.
As construction continued, a man spied something beyond the clouds. Something spectacular. Land. And island in the sky.
He shouted to the workers that he had discovered the land of the gods. A bridge was constructed to reach the island in the sky, but no exploring was to be done until the tower's completion. The massive structure shot into the sky hundreds of meters past the island, showcasing man's glory. Then all the workers set foot on the island for the first time.
Thousands of years later, they never returned to their glorious tower. As Steve climbed the miles of stairs, he could make out no signs of any trouble. Had the men of old found the gods, or had they awoken something much worse? +++

I hope you enjoy this submission! Diamonds are greatly appreciated. This was a huge undertaking for a 100% solo project. Yes, one person built this. I had about only 20 hours in free time to work on this, and I'm quite impressed with the quality of this build for being so rushed.
This map features a massive tower built in the clouds - not on the land. I believe this would set the entry apart. The a bridge connects the tower to the floating islands, but is covered in the clouds. The main floor of the tower has two sets of large oak doors housing a fountain and grand hall. On the sides, two stairways lead to the next level, a market. The final level is "Cheesey's Study" - a cozy office on the top floor. A tour around the tower will also show hidden rooms with some easter eggs in them.
Thanks for supporting this! It was a lot of fun to make, being a theme and a size I've never tackled before.
