Alagaesia is an ambitious project with the simple goal of creating a replica of Chirstopher Paolini's Alagaesia. The world is roughly 75,000 blocks x 50,000 blocks in size and is one of the largest Minecraft projects in existence. The video above is of a prototype world that is much smaller and much less detailed. The current map in the works has much more realistic mountains, forests, and terrain in general.
The map you can see above is also very outdated and is of a prototype build that was much smaller than the current.
When terraforming is complete a server will open up for anyone interested in building structures. If you are interested in applying you have to to go Alagaesia-Minecraft.com.
Question: Will the entire world ever be downloadable?
Answer: As of now, no. I intend to release 'chunks' of a prototype map in the near future but I currently have no intentions of releasing the entire world for download.

Woot woot!
The worldpainter file is FINALLY DONE (I can finally go outside after months of work yay)
I finished up the beors, Doru Areaba, and outlined a ton of things that will have to be done with worldedit and voxel today and have uploaded the world to our build server to be worked on. It might be a bit of time before the next update depending on how fast we get the terraforming started.

maybe you want to look at some of my projekts too :)
Please build the villages etc. how they are described in the books, not how they look in the movie because the movie is crap.
I Will be using the Custom NPC's Mod And Crystal Hearts Mod for 1.6.4
I will publish it on this website and i will give you credit for the island part ;)
