...With his new suit equipped and imagination ready to burst, Steve leapt into the water headfirst, and took in the sights; coral reefs, everywhere! Fish, swimming all around him! Dolphins, manta rays, clownfish, whales, sharks! Sharks! Sharks!? Krakens!? Leviathans!? Who knew what awaited him farther down.
But as he drew closer to the ocean floor, Steve discovered something completely unexpected. What he found was a glowing metropolis of white towers and massive temples. At the end of the city was a massive blue rift that, as far as Steve could see, led to a dark and completely alien land, and out of this hole swam strange creatures that looked similar to some of the structures. Clearly this was beyond any place on the Earth.
"Wow. This has been here all this time and nobody's ever found it?" Steve thought as he drew closer, "Huh I guess they weren't kidding when they said we've only mapped 0.05% of the ocean."
Kso maybe I shouldn't have waited until the last week to start this thing. There are a bunch of ideas I had to leave out due to time constraints. Anyway, if you haven't figured it out yet, this is my entry for the Underwater Wonderland Contest.
In order to satiate my obsession with futuristic stuffs, I decided to make an Atlantean city that mixed Greco-Roman with Neo-Futuristic styles. I had originally thought about making a such a city a while back and even made a small attempt that failed very quickly, so I ditched the idea for a while. After this contest was announced, I thought about trying the idea again and went though quite a few builds that I ended up scrapping before coming to the style in the build now. I think it turned out pretty well for the time it took.
Here's a dynmap render of the project without the blue glass layer (note that the map in the download and images has the blue layer. It was only removed here to allow you to see the full build)
