Surprise I'm still alive! I have been playing a boatload of Minecraft over the past few weeks after a couple of years mostly completely away from the game, & I've definitely been enjoying the newfound sense of motivation. This is my first completely new ship design since my Lexington battlecruiser a couple years ago, so I apologize for any obviously build rust that may be seen.
The Tillman's were a series of battleships proposed by Senator Tillman in the 1910's as a way to vastly exceed the power of any other countries navies at the time & function as a replacement to what the Senator considered the "incremental improvements" of the early Twentieth century American dreadnoughts. With a waterline length of 297m, & an overall length of 304m, with a displacement comparable in size to the later Japanese Yamato-Class superbattleships, they would've been by far the largest warships ever fielded by a Navy. However, Senator Tillman was deeply unpopular with the US Navy's chain of command (& a genuinely awful human being outside of his hatred for the Navy), & was only humored because he was apart of the Senate Naval Affairs Committee, & could effectively tank future warship construction if he wished. His death in 1918 along with the 1922 Washington Naval Treaty killed the program before any construction began.
The version built here is a slightly modified version of the actual Tillman III design, modelled as a combination of that & the "USS Vermont" seen as a tier 10 battleship in World of Warships, itself a modified Tillman in design. My design is wider than the actual Tillman (39m vs 33m), following the game's model, but retains the actual Tillman's length of 304m (as opposed to the game, which much more closely resembles an Iowa or Montana in length). Otherwise the ships blueprints as seen on Wikipedia are well followed.
Do be sure to download my texture pack here otherwise the ship will not look right in game (a modified combination of Jagthunder's M4K pack & the Elite Realism Society packs, with some original textures included).
Ship was built in version 1.18.1.
