During Series 9, the boys were challenged to each create a limousine to drive some minor celebrities to the Brit Awards. Hammond chose a MG F, leaving it as a convertible and ruining Jamelia’s hair, whilst May went with a very unusual Saab 9000/Alfa Romeo 194 combination…the unusual thing being the limo was made from the front ends of both cars! Clarkson’s effort blew the others away though, as he transformed a tiny 1992 Fiat Panda into a limo that was 47 feet long. In fact, it was so long that it had to be shortened by 7 feet to be road legal! During the final challenge, in which Clarkson carried Chris Moyles to the ceremony, the Panda limo lost the entire rear half of the car…and Clarkson only won the challenge as he made sure his own column in The Sun printed a photo of the car!
