The church of Elijah the prophet is one of the most marvelous baroque Churches in the city of Suzdal Russia. It is located below the Kremlin on the other side of the Kamenka Riive. The current stone church was built in 1744 and features a mixture of red and white colored architectural elements.

Before the construction of the new one a Wooden church stood at its place. How the Wooden Church looked like is not known. It was likely a typical church in vernacular architectural style.

Unfortunately there is no information about its former appearance avaiable, aside of that it was made out of wood. The build is based around the shape of the current church, but in style of russian vernacular architecture.
