Tsuri-dōrō - The Domicile Lantern
Hello! This is my second (or last) part of my christmas series, and I have been wanting to make something like this for a long time. Overall, this took the most time for a house build - more than a week - which included terraforming the mountain, making the Bonsai tree and furnishing the whole house. Also, recently I discovered that the Torii Gate I framed over the house was supposed to lead to a Shinto shrine, which I built inside instead for admiration and sincerity for the followers of Shinto. EXTRA: Starting now and next year, a Chunk view of every house will be made as an important picture behind the PostCard View. (Example below Features)
FUN FACT: Every stained glass in Minecraft 1.7+ has a common bug to light up just like a glowstone block. This is caused always when the chunks with stained glass are edited with software such as MCEdit. I took advantage of this bug to make the house appear like a hanging lantern, hence the Japanese term tsuri-dōrō or kaitomoshi. When updated by nearby actual light-emitting objects like torches or glowstone, the bug is fixed and the glass stops glowing. I've continuously updated the chunk with MCEdit to keep the glass glowing.

WorldPainter, downloadable freeware (recommended for large-scale terraforming)
Chunky Render, downloadable freeware
Pamplemousse resource pack by MrFruitTree (recommended for modern downloads)
Features:
- Two major apartments (one master bedroom, three guest bedrooms, three bathrooms, living and dining area each)
- Shinto Shrine (enshrined kami - Amaterasu)(includes smaller Torii, Chōzuya, Kagura-den, Haiden, Setsumatsusha and Honden)(Reference:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinto_shrine#Structure_of_a_Shinto_shrine)
- Japanese decor (tatami mats, sliding doors and all mostly wooden)
- Torii Gate house framework suspended by a large Bonsai Tree
- Japanese snow-covered mountain in the distance (done by WorldPainter)
- Pond garden connected with master bedroom (lower apartment)
- Tiny library above living area (upper apartment)
- Located on a coniferous forest landscape, within a forest biome.
