Rules in every adventure/challenge/puzzle maps are only guidelines. You can follow them if you would like too, which is recommended for the best playing experience of the map. you can also not follow the rules, which nobody is going to stop you, but it will not be a challenge. the part of maps like these is for it to be a challenge, and have fun.
