I love all of the maps but have picked this one, or I should more properly say that it picked me by bringing a story of its history into my head the moment I started exploring it.

RIP: Map corruption during unexpected hosting issues...and no backup. Oh well. :( If I wasn't so swamped with work, I'd start afresh, but I may have to just sit this one out. Best wishes, everybody...and hey at least I learned how to use rendering tools with this challenge. :)

Most of all I like this landscape. Others are also very well made)But the size of these cards is very large! Personally, my opinion: for the contest, these are very large landscapes that are generally not suitable for this. I would definitely participate in this competition, if not for the gigantic size of the source maps.

That's your opinion on the matter. but i am firm believer of the concept "kitbashing" Where you basically take kits and use them to your liking. or make the kits yourself. with worldedit especially it is very suitable to make 5 or 6 house designs, split them up into different roofs, foundations, walls, windows etc. and then get to kitbashing. and combine in different ways. then if you have some road designs that can be stacked a few times that would be pretty good aswell. furthermore there's another concept i like a lot, which is "less is more" so you wouldnt need to fill the map up to the brim. but rather have maybe a few patches of kitbashed cities, and then have a lot of space for highways between the cities or smth like that.

It's something i often do myself. As you can see from my interdimensional railway transit, that me and trialnerror made together we got 2nd place. and kitbashing was used there.iirc he made like the portal, a ship, and then used part of the portal to deform rotate to create the other pieces of broken portals. and the same for the spaceships. they were just deform rotated a bunch of times and copied out. That's not to say planning didn't go into the build. But the actual process of the building went relatively quickly.
