A couple of weeks ago I decided to recreate the campaign level "Pillar of Autumn" from Halo: CE, cinemtatics and all, and this required a replica of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn Halcyon-class light cruiser. So here it is:
(I tried to fit in as much detail as I could despite the limitations of minecraft's blocky nature, and I sort of spliced the CE version with the Reach and anniversary versions, and gave it a bit of my own creative juices)
Collectively it took me about 14hrs to build. I did not make it to any particular scale, although it is probably about 1/6 scale, and everything was hand-built by eye and trial and error. I am a cheater though, as I only built half, then mirrored it in mcedit. The bridge is the only internal detail, as I need it to zoom in from the outside in, like the real cutscene. If I get enough good feedback I guess I'll have to make the UNSC Infinity.
