USS-Defiant | NX-74205 | Star Trek Megabuild | Trekcraft.org

The USS-Defiant, featured in Star Trek: Deep Space 9, now in block form on the TrekCraft server!

The Defiant class, and the namesake prototype was developed by Starfleet following the Wolf 359 disaster as an anti-borg warship. Though classified as an escort, it's phaser canons and ablative hull armor certainly say otherwise. Mothballed following failed space trials, it was pulled out of storage at the beginning of the Dominion war by one if it's designers, Captain Benjamin Sisko to aide in the war efforts and provide front line support for the Bajor sector.

The build as you see it is currently at the early stages, with the use of a 3D model for the hull by the uber talented artist Marc Bell. We currently have the Bridge, deck 1 corridors, and early deck mapping. Along with the exterior hull markings underway. Eventually this ship will be offered for download once completed, but if you'd like to check it out early you can join us on the TrekCraft server by visiting our Discord, https://discord.gg/neYrd7AMMu

Hope you enjoy!

3 Update Logs

Update #3 : by iPanic 01/06/2022 10:39:11 pmJan 6th, 2022

Work is still moving at full speed on the Defiant. Deck's 1 & 2 are fully built out structurally, with just the interiors of the rooms to go. Deck 3 is now being pulled out to have it's structural pieces built (Hallways, JT's, and Turbolifts).

We've also had the super talented CreepyRobot come provide some detail work to the front of the nacelles, sensor pads, and cryogenic coolers. The ship from the exterior is look really good, and the interior is coming together well.

I'm hoping that soon we'll have some time to work out engineering so we can start to see more of the "set piece" areas featured heavily in DS9.

I've also updated the photos to show a more current look of the ship.
