USS Essex- Carrier (Created by LemonGem3021668)

The Essex class aircraft carriers where the most numerous class of capital ship produced during the 20th century. Well armed and fast enough to keep up with cruisers and destroyers, these ships carried the USN through numerous offensive capangins in the pacific and where the main class of aircraft carriers in the post-war american navy. The class came in two variants: the long hull and the short hull. The long hull was designed to mount a extra 40mm gun at the bow. All ships where upgraded to this design post-war. This model represents the long hull variant.
