Hey guys!
Here's the USS John Finn DDG-113! It's one of the latests Arleigh burke class! She is planned to be comissioned on July 15th. It's a member a the flight 2a/restart batch. It differs quite a lot from the older ones and that's why I wanted to build it. I'm quite proud of it as it is surely one of my best builds along the Iwo Jima. The reason I decided to build an Arleigh Burke (even if it's surely the most builded ship on pmc...) was because I recently watched The last Ship and Idecided it could be a good idea to build a good, brand new Arleigh Burke!
I tried to be as accurate as possible on the shapes of the ship and, to be honest, I think I'm the first one to have gotten that far into being realistic. From the landing deck slope to the "banana shape" of the helicopter hangar, the angles on the side. This is the first time I experiment that many new process at this scale. I think that makes this model unique and certainly really intersting.
I also did a lot of progress on C4d so I hope you'll like the renders. It took me quite a lot of time to finally get decent at C4D but I think that I managed to do a great job this time! :D
I really hope you'll like it! And as usual, please, leave a diamond, favorite and comment!
The ship itself..
John Finn (DDG-113) is the 63rd Arleigh Burke-class destroyer. The contract to build her was awarded to Ingalls Shipbuilding of Pascagoula, Mississippi, on 15 June 2011.
