The USS Monitor was an iron-hulled steamship that served the Union Navy during the American Civil War. She was the first ironclad warship that was put into service by the US Navy, then the Union Navy. She was commissioned on February 25th, 1862. On March 9th, 1862 the USS Monitor became famous for her engagement the CSS Virginia. The fight ended in a stalemate but proved a major step in naval combat. She was later lost at sea on December 31st, 1862.

This build has actually been done for awhile. She was the first ship I did, so she's not the best build. But she still comes complete with an inside to explore. Maybe I might remake her eventually but in the meantime enjoy.
