nice, hull looks streamlined and the numbers on the bow look good.
Thanks :) I tried to make it look as accurate as possible.

Thanks. I just started the USS Enterprise CVN-80 and so far it looks pretty difficult to get this one really accurate since its massive.

the aircraft carrier, yes?
aircraft carrier zeppelins like ZRS-5 macon are easier to do lol.
your zeppelins look awesome but I'm not good at building those to be honest.

thanks, but not many people are good at building real zeppelins. most people stick to those cliché fantasy airships that almost all the time aren't well made and are built by people who know nothing about zeppelins.
I know what you mean I've seen a couple of those and they don't actually look professional. Personaly I don't like those fantasy ones I prefer the realistic type just like when it comes to ships.

they're everywhere. if you search "zeppelin" or "airship", then the vast majority will be those fantasy ones. they are overused and make authentic zeppelin builders, like myself, very rare, and prevents us from getting the credit and fame we deserve.

Well in the eyes of people that love history and accurate building you'd be the real builder.

thanks :)
people who build fantasy zeppelins usually have no thought and just build a disfigured wooden boat and attach an extremily disproportionate envalope (balloon) to it via ropes and whatnot, whereas I make replicas to existing zeppelins as close as possible and usually base my fictional zeppelins on real, existing ones. for example, my R41 (latest build) is based on the R80 zeppelin.

I like those Zeppelin balloons the Allies used back in WW2 for protection against enemy aircrafts. I have a wish to build a WW2 invasion map in the future after I finish building a whole aramada of WW2 naval vessels and I wanna include those.

but, theres 2 problems:
1. it was in WWI because the hindenburg disaster and the akron disaster put zeppelins out of service completely in 1940.
2. the germans owned DELAG, luftschiffbau zeppelin and several other companies, the germans were the ones who built military zeppelins to bomb the UK and US, but the ZR1, ZRS4 and ZRS5 were originally built for military and test purposes by the US. the british didn't build military zeppelins and the french only had a couple of zeppelins, one of which, the dixmude, exploded over the ocean and killed 50 or so people.

These ones didn't have people flying them they're only Zeppelin looking balloons tied to Naval Vessels for extra protection.

sorry my bad :|
but yes, they had radars, they would be used for missile protection and observation. when tied to ships, they fired torpedoes and were used as a distraction.

I'm not good in aviation so I don't know the proper terms for them but that's interesting.

it's simular to the terms of ships, the front is the bow, back is the stern ect.
my weak spot in aviation are airodynes (planes), but airostats (zeppelins) are easy to get used to after a few months.

Never actually knew that but it doesn't sound difficult to learn since its similar to vessels. I usually have a weak spot when it comes to ships which is engineering. But aviation I know more about planes then zeppelins.

zeppelins are much more interesting and easier to learn than planes. if you know a lot about ships then learning about zeppelins will be easy.

no, it would be pretty easy for someone like you, I learned about zeppelins a few months ago.
I will check them out but I probably won't be building any of them cause I'm not good at making circular things.

it's easy, just go into MCedit, select the brush, make it circular and hollow and then choose where you want it.
I use world edit for my ships cause it'll take forever to build a big ship.

I haven't tried making a zeppelin in worldedit, but I know for sure MCedit gets the basic hull down.
for something round I wouldn't use world edit.
