It is semi - accurate to the older version of the Strategic Design Intrepid blue prints. You can get a small deck view from Cygnus.

As done as I care to take it. While there is some labeling that could be done for the most part this project is now completed.

I have added in shuttles and finished up the interior work. (Yes there are doors now.) I also did a lot of fit and finish work to and loads of detail stuff. The ship is now completed to the point where I can move onto another project. (Galaxy build)

I have updated both the world save and the schematic file to Feb 2nd version. If you find any problems with the build please send me a message. Yes you can use this build on any server or alter it as you see fit so long as you honor my request that you provide credit where credit is due along with a link to this page. Thanks and enjoy.

I still have a lot of work left to do on this build so yes there are areas that are not yet labeled or have any detail. Bear with me as I continue to improve the build. Suggestions are always welcome.

I realize that the ship is rather large and that some areas appear smaller than they do on TV while others appear larger. Again the ship is scaled to the Stragetic Design Deck Plans. I am currently working on a newer version with better exterior detail, better interior marking and filling in of a lot of the state rooms and ship areas. I am also going to remove the stairs and go with ladders. I don't know jack about texture packs so if someone wants one, they'll have to see the block I have used and then make their own. (Or submit one to me for use.)

Euml over at the minecraft official forms has a brilliant build of the Voyager going on with outstanding textures. Please stop by his thread and post encouraging comments.

Square blocks, round hole - keep that in mind please.

You start in Transporter Room 1 on Deck 4. When you exit the Transporter room into the main corridor, go left to access the turbo shafts. - Turbo shafts are Gray with white lines. Main decks are cyan with White line. Engineering areas are orange, weapons yellow, etc. Deck 1 is the bridge. Deck 1 3, 8, 9B, 11, and 15 have access hatches. There are also other hatches too, but you'll have to explore to find them. There are a few areas that are kind of hidden, they are mostly inner hull areas. I tried to provide access to all of these areas. Mainly around the forward deflector dish, decks 14 thru 11, and under the hanger. There are access ladders all over so enjoy exploring.
I am still working on the interior so there are some areas that haven't yet been labeled or given much detail.

Area's labeled "Restricted" were area's of the deck plans that had nothing in them. Do with them as you wish, make hidden rooms, etc.

I decided to take on a more aggressive project. I chose to construct The USS Voyager (NCC-74656) from Star Trek Voyager but first decided to make the Intrepid as a learning process. The voyager is an Intrepid class starship.

The process started off with going over the "Strategic Design" deck plans of the Intrepid Class Star Ship and trying to decided on a scale. I opted for a 1:1 variant. (Its close to 1:1 but only as close as one can get in Minecraft.)

I then spent the better part of three days making the basic outline of each deck. I used MCEdit, SPC, and TooManyItems for this project. After each deck was laid out, I began the stacking process. This took an entire day to complete. I had to go in and out of MCedit and MC to fit and tweak each deck. Alignment issues and what not. I began working on each deck, starting with Deck 15 and working my way upward toward Deck 1 (Bridge).

I failed to realize that this is a massive project and very time consuming. While I cannot say how long it will take to make, I can say that I will make it. (its made as of update 10.) My only concern is that I am not an exterior detail kind of guy and I know I will have trouble making the ship look good externally.

The interior decks have all been laid out so I know where all the corridors, state rooms, and other things go. I don't know if I will just use ladders or try and use stairs for the turbo shafts as I did for the NOVA builds. I might opt for what other Trek modelers have done, and go with ladders if I cannot get the stairs to fit correctly.
