Hello, I'm back again,

This time with another submarine, the final one of the three Royal Navy submarines that I've built so far. This is the Vanguard-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine. These carry our nuclear deterrent and there is always one of these four boats out on patrol at any one time to make sure our nuclear threat is always available. While it's common knowledge where these submarines are based, when they're out on patrol, acting as our international nuclear deterrent, their location is classified. These are going to be replaced in the next twenty years by the Dreadnought-class, as these 90s-era submarines are ageing now.

This was the most complicated of the three submarines to design, mainly because of the long flat section where the missiles are stowed. It's a little more pronounced on the real thing, but I didn't want to make the vessel too slab-sided or blobby, so it's been kept in line with the general shape of the boat. I hope you guys like it :)

Armament for the Vanguard-class submarines is as follows:

4 x 533mm Torpedoes [4 x 1] (carrying Spearfish heavy torpedoes)
16 x Ballistic Missile Tubes [16 x 1] (carrying between 8-16 Lockheed Trident II D5 SLBMs with up to 8 warheads on each missile).
