This project is a love letter to the Shinden Zukuri Japanese architectural style of the Heian Period! Normally, I recreate historical/existing buildings at scale, but for this project I created a reconstruction based on the basic principles. Sadly, there are no surviving Shinden Zukuri mansions from the Heian period. Instead, this is heavily based on Byodo-In.
