The Village of Harusaki

This is the very first time I have ever done a Japanese, well, anything; so this was a very fun challenge for me. I knew that my strong point was making towns/villages, so I knew that's how I wanted to show the Japanese spirit! 

I had researched a bit on Japanese landscape and houses since I truly knew very little about the area. I found out that besides the numerous Cherry Blossoms, the landscape has many flowers similar to the Lilac and Peony; and that the houses in some of the older villages are a black, steep(slightly curved) roof with opening on either side. I also found that many of the coastal areas have a rockier coastline along with rocky cliffs that end up not being that tall but are very prominent with many sharp areas on top.
