Hello guys!
Well, this is my first post on planet minecraft so hopefully I will not cross any rules immediatly.
Anyways, due to all the global circumstances *coughs* I set up a server with some friends and we decided to built a 'huge' city for the villagers and give them an update from their own village. Some sort of luxery safe heaven so to say.
This is my shot at the religious part of the metropool called 'Hrötgars chapel'. I wanted to build a religious building but not the standard chapel or something so I decided to built a nordlandic themed viking chapel. I got imspired by a build of Kattepusen so be sure to check that one out as well! (Link down below). So a few days and chest of oak wood logs later I can now proudly present my work.
Also I decided to give it a little backstory. Hrötgar, the founder of this city (apparently he is right now) settled on this tiny island with a few men and woman. Their settlement, under leadership of Hrötgar grew from a tiny village with dirt huts etc., to one of the biggest harbor cities of their time. Hrötgar, who renounced his viking origin, wanted to be buried instead of being traditionally burned at sea. Therefore he made a comprimise in his will to be buried in a small pond close to the settlement in a chest made of wood from his former vessel. Later when the chapel was built, they decided to honor his will and laid him to rest in his own tony chapel in the cemetery.
There are still some minor details I missed and need to clean up but overall it is done!
So on to the next project, yay.

Sadly our server got griefed by some lovely fellow minecrafters, therefore the metropool was discontinued. The church itself was not burned because we decided to turn Firetick off, however a lot of damage was done to the interior and a lot of details were removed with tnt or some foul signs. If it were only this build, it wouldn,t be such a big deal but almost everyone's base was attack with the pure intent to make people ragequit (targeting chests and valuables etc). Soooo we decided to move on to a new server and start over and it is looking rather lovely, I'll post some updates now about later on this week!
