History and Ship builders notes
When you Imagine a Battleship what do you think? A huge ship with massive guns? A floating fortress with impenetrable armor? Do you think a master of the sea that can not only take a hit but can give it back? This battleship is all of that and more. This ship came from a need to have something that could be constructed faster and fielded in larger numbers than the previous Super battleship(unreleased) but also having more armor and anti aircraft weaponry than the proceeding battleship class(unreleased). This ship was to fill the role of a standard type battleship. Where as the focus of the previous 2 battleship classes was to make an unsinkable fortress with big guns the focus on this class shifted as the shipbuilders realized that you can build one perfect ship but it will still get destroyed by 5 good enough ships. One of the things that the proceeding battleship could not do was stop 16inch shells from penetrating the main belt so the main belt on this class was thickened from 6 blocks(previous class) to 9 blocks to make up for this deficiency. Another deficiency the other 2 classes had was the protection was the protection of the barbette. What was implemented was a 9 block thick endstone plate on the side of the ship covering the barbette. When ships went broad side to fight and where at close enough ranges that plunging fire did not play effect that plate would provide superior protection than the standard armor belt.
How to fire the Weapons
Use this command /summon Fireball ~ ~0 ~ {ExplosionPower:0,direction:[0.0,0.0,0.0]}
This will create a fire ball that you can hit. Aim the fireball and fire away.
The power of the fire ball will be the same as the caliber of the gun firing it in inches. For example a 16inch gun has a power of 16 and each barrel of the turret fires 1 fireball.
Torpedos and Bombs have fixed powers
Tropedos (standard) power 20
Torpedos can only hit things underwater
Bombs have a power of 20
Bombs can only be used from the air
This will create a fire ball that you can hit. Aim the fireball and fire away.

Intended Roles
Large capital ship
This ship will be the center if no other larger ships are present. This Ship is intended to have the biggest guns and armor and would lead a fleet.
Taking hits and providing fire support in large fleet engagements
In large naval engagement this ship would be on the front lines taking hits with its armor and dishing them out with its big guns where as smaller support ships would be unable to serve this role.
Fire support for Amphibious landings
Because of the smaller caliber of many ships they do not have the range or destructive potential to do any serious damage. However this ship has large 16inch guns that can fire out at long ranges and deal significant damage.

Appart from the references to real armaments there are seccions that are indeed marked as "armoured" with obsidian giving them more importance.
Yes, seeing it just from the quality perspective you can say it's lacking but Its about a learning process, a seed to acomplish much more.
