Hey!
So this build was inspired by the Washington National Cathedral. I copied the shape and some of the positions of the details. Most of the details are different to the real life structure.
The build took a total of 2 weeks to complete and I used a lot of wordedit. Copying and pasting one side to the other to save time. I used mostly sandstone blocks, Birch wood planks and yellow stained glass for the exterior with a polished andesite roof. For the interior I used red and yellow wool for the floor with birch wood planks.
The build has Buttresses and Pinacles on the exterior of the cathedral. It has the Nave, North and South Transepts and also the Apse. I found the exterior of the Apse to be difficult and I am still not too happy with it.
When entering from the front of the build you can go up stairs to the top of the two front towers. (Narthex) There are 2 floors; the Nave and Aisle and then the Vault above that. The Vault can be accessed through the towers' stair cases.
Overall I am quite happy with this build. It was time consuming but I found the detailing very enjoyable. This was the second cathedral I built and I learned a lot from it. :)
Feedback is appreciated!
