The temple was inspired by a build by a guy named Tobi-wan Kenobi, who has videos of some of his stuff up on YouTube, which I happened to run across them one day. The things this guy makes are absolutely breathtaking, my favorite being his water temple. I actually asked if I could use some of his design elements before I started my own version of it.

For this build I used a program called Minecraft Structure Planner so that I could see how to carve out the bowl-shaped pool at the base of the temple, and also how to design the dome at the top, both of which are ½ spheres. I did get some help from friends filling the pool with water, but the rest of the temple was all built by me. My favorite part of the temple is the design of the water flow, all of which comes from a single source block at the top of the dome. There are also many hidden areas on this residence, some hard to find, others easy, the largest being the grotto, which is completely underground. I wanted to make the temple really fun for someone to explore, and it is possible to access all areas of it with a just a bit of determination.

Water Temple was created by ZellieB - a member of Team Empire on the Empire Minecraft server smp2.empire.us. Once connected to the server, use the command /v 3363 to view the creation in it's full glory. This project was built using resources acquired legitimately though ways such as mining and was built on survival mode with fall damage disabled. No flying was used.
