Description:
The map consists of a town, a railroad, some mountains and other various random structures, like farms, camps and abandoned properties. The town got a saloon, a bank, a land office, a sheriff's office, the Central Pacific Railroad Company office, a gunsmith, a blacksmith, a hotel, a doctor, some shops, workers' tents and cabins, a farm and a church. Too damn much of things in it, maybe I forgot some to mention :D
Background History:
The town was built in Utah Territory, as it was called back then, when gold mines were found in 1850s. The First Transcontinental Railroad was constructed between 1863 and 1869, the year it has been connected with the Central Pacific Railroad in Utah, so the town was mainly built for the people who worked on the Central Pacific before its final completion in 1869. Since then the town became quite rich, as more and more people began to move to California for gold, for lands that were being sold out fast and cheap.
Architecture and Design:
I used different historical articles, pictures and plans in order to get the maximum amount of detail according to history, so that the map wouldn't be just some random town that got "wild west" in its name :D Movies, books, Red Dead Redemption 2 helped me a lot in designing the interior, exterior, the overall town plan and the landscape. Now I gotta say this: the town DOES NOT exist in real world at the moment, but I tried building as realistic as possible, so that it'd feel like a trip back in time.
- Hills and trees were made using World Painter
- Everything was designed and built by me.
(Minecraft 1.16 and 1.17+ only)
