Hey all ive decided on a second project. i have been playing TONS of skyrim and i love the nordic architecture so i decided i would build a nordic city. so far it doesn't entail much and only features the grand mead hall and 2 houses. im looking for someone who can put this map on a server so i can get some builders to help with the rest.
leave any criticisms. ty

Looks like the Hall of Valor in Sovngarde. Gotta love Skyrim. I'll be sure to check this out, it looks great!
EDIT: I know this isn't exactly a proud thing to admit, but I have about 125hours on 360 version of Skyrim already ;) Maybe about 5 on PC too.

hmm the houses at the side are not anywhere near nordic arcitecture :) the nordic people ( vikings) made great houses that could hold family as well as caddle. so they are quite too small :)

consider making the "great hall" on some kind of hill as to increase defensive positions ( again, think like a viking :D )

i would love that kinda knowledge to help me build.
my idea for the houses was to have the houses closest to the hall smaller and as they go out they gradually get bigger
p.s the stone is just to hold the hall untill i can get it on a server and use voxelsniper to make a hill for it

did you do any pre-study about the style you want to build ? like how they normally placed their houses, where a village would be placed, what about crops, animals, water and such ? :)

if you did then that would have helped you quite a bit :)

I think the big building look really cool :D But as phoenixrising said the houses are usally much bigger, and not so small. I usally just google viking buildings and go from there (but again, i'm from norway, so i kinda know how things look :3)

yeah but the problem with traditional nordic houses is there very bland and curvy 2 things that r kinda annoying
