Basic Info
The X-VRC (Experimental Variable Range Cannon) is a TNT cannon that has the ability to have its propellant load and thus range finely adjusted without having to manually remove or add TNT to the propellant dispensers. It's currently a prototype and thus lacks a protective aesthetic turret shell and barrels like my other guns. It was envisioned as a potential route in development if instead of adjustable trajectory being further developed, adjustable range via propellant limiting was.
While the gun's current performance is currently lower than that of adjustable trajectory guns, the advantage this gun has is that it's a lot cheaper to fire as, unlike the other guns I've uploaded, this gun doesn't always have to fire a full-power shot in close combat. It doesn't have to use all propellant dispensers when firing and thus consumes less TNT per shot. The ability to easily control and finely tune the propellant load via the lectern also gives it a degree of precision despite lacking the ability to adjust the trajectory of the gun. I plan to combine these qualities with an adjustable trajectory system in the future to further increase the accuracy of the gun.

Nerd Stuff / How It Works
The gun is essentially a normal TNT cannon but with the ability to adjust the amount of propellant precisely per shot. The lectern has a book with 20 pages in it. Comparators are able to transmit a signal with a strength corresponding with the page that the book is on. I limit the amount of propellant by running a single line of redstone across the propellant dispensers and control the amount of propellant used by adjusting the signal strength via the lectern book.
The stronger the signal (higher page number), the more propellant dispensers are activated. The weaker the signal (lower page number), the fewer propellant dispensers activated.
However, attaching a comparator to a lectern creates a constant signal. I lock the comparator using a redstone block and a repeater to prevent the signal from being sent to the propellant dispensers until the comparator is unlocked by the button. Once the propellant is dispensed, the signal goes to a repeater line of delays all the way to an observer clock which dispenses the projectiles.
Movecraft Compatibility
The gun can be used with the Movecraft plugin and can be mounted on airships or as a stand-alone weapon if you wish to use it for base defense.

No plugins are required for the cannon to function as it is a purely Redstone device. However, the cannon can be used on Movecraft warships with their turret feature to face different directions. Some servers that run Movecraft are ToTheEnd, Airship Pirates, and Strangelands.
