Usage
History
The Xexon Venu IF10d-class was an advanced strike craft based on the Xexon Venu IF10 base hull and configured to act in a support role at the squadron level by using sensors, communications, and electronic warfare equipment alongside other strike craft in GACIAF's navy. The IF10d was developed simultaneously with the IF10a and IF10b-class models, designed to combat strike craft and capital ships. The IF10c was planned to be included in the AFEMI initiative contract as an atmospheric model to supplement capital ships in assisting surface units but the navy variants took priority due to conflicts in Ivesceel between TAUFOG nations and the ongoing Shadow Fleet Crisis. The IF10d would take slightly longer to complete than the base models due to the complexity of its primary sensor array and communications systems, and due to supply and logistical issues following the Cesya and Tipalee attacks, with the production model approved for manufacturing in 48,802 ACT. The quantity of units purchased by the GACIAF administration stayed low initially, with the craft being both highly specialized and expensive to maintain, but Zenlian Drives would after several decades see increased interest from GAONC and other GACIAF agencies in the IF10d, and by the time active production ceased in the late 49,100s the company had built over 50 million units. The design saw the most use in intelligence missions and as a part of patrol groups and task forces, to support strike craft and extend the reach of these small naval units. Some also took up post-Shadow Fleet inspections of affected sectors, using their relatively small size compared to a capital ship to navigate debris fields along FTL lanes and locate areas in need of disaster relief.

The Venu IF10d-class was lightly armed, equipped with only the most basic systems to defend itself independently. Twin Syvatii C105600-20a laser cannons acted as the ship's main weapons. These had been intended for the IF10a model but some advancements by Syvatii Unlimited mid-development led to it being given the new systems, C105600 EDHs, while the IF10d took the original, less capable weapons. The IF10d-class also could 160 GAEDS-I220/ii missiles, using the same loading and launching mechanisms as the IF10a. This was done to reduce development time, and if the IF10d-class needed to defend itself its missiles were often the most ideal weapon to use. Fortunately the ship's minimal combat capability was not significant, as the IF10d would always be given an escort of Xexon interceptors or other strike craft.

The most notable system on the IF10d-class was its massive sensor array integrated with the ventral surface of the ship. This circular structure contained multiple sensor systems which could be angled in specific directions to focus readings, and the flat surface of the assembly had a phased IDPPA antenna which could analyze particle interactions at FTL to track ships at any position in the same system. The top of the IF10d had multiple communications systems, including CIINET transceivers, allowing the ship to connect to GACIAF's Ivesceel comm infrastructure and coordinate with other naval units in adjacent systems. This was the IF10d-class' primary function, to collect data on the movements of all ships and relay it to other strike craft or capital ships, which could in turn distribute necessary information to GACIAF's forces. Most of the time the IF10d operated on the squadron level, although the capabilities of the IF10d did sometimes exceed those of patrol cruisers and other available ships. The IF10d also could suppress the sensors and communications of opponents, give ECM at range for other strike craft being tracked by ordnance, and provide limited tactical analysis with simulations on its dedicated computers, although nothing like those done by a command ship.
