Hey, I haven't posted a terrain in a while as I've been working on stuff in real life and for commission. Sadly I can't post that stuff here. This map took me a few hours and I was just testing out new ways of working with world machine, nothing revolutionary but I'm happy with it. The mountains might be a bit steep because I'm still trying to get them right in world machine, they're either too steep or too flat.
How large is the map?
What was used to create this? How long did it take?

The map is approximately 4,000 by 4,000 blocks. Give or take 500 blocks. This allows for ample room to explore and too build but it isn't outrageously big.

The map was made through a combination of world machine, which made the base terrain aka the height map and world painter which was used to add in the tress, grass and all the good stuff that makes it a minecraft map. World painter converts a height map to a usable minecraft map.
